The Blizzard “Stella” is one many of us in the Hudson Valley will never forget. Twenty- four inches of snow hit our region creating massive snow piles just days before the first day of Spring. I would like to pass on a sincere “Thank You” to our Village of Maybrook Department of Public Works Superintendent Matt Thorp and his crew, Maybrook Police Chief Butch Amthor, Sgt. Michael Maresca and Police Officers for all working together under difficult conditions during and after the Blizzard. The Village of Maybrook DPW removed over 220 truck loads of snow (equal to 7,000 tons) out of the village expediously and safely with the help of the Maybrook Police Department. A great job done by both departments! On Monday, March 20th, the Village of Maybrook DPW will resume snow removal throughout the village in areas that need to be addressed and Municipal Parking lots.

I also would like to pass on a sincere “Thank You” to the residents of Maybrook for their patience and cooperation during snow removal!

Let’s hope for warmer days ahead and Spring arrives real soon!

Best Regards,

Mayor Dennis K. Leahy
