NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING INTRODUCTORY
LOCAL LAW 6 OF 2016 AND THE DRAFT GENERIC
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
This notice was prepared in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law.
A public hearing to consider Introductory Local Law No. 6 of 2016 (entitled “A Local Law
Amending Chapter 210 (“Zoning”) of the Code of the Village of Maybrook to Provide the
Opportunity for Greater Economic Development within the Village”) and the Draft Generic
Environmental Impact Statement (“DGEIS”) will be held on
Monday, November 27, 2017 at
7:00pm or shortly thereafter at the Village of Maybrook Senior
Center, 914 Tower Avenue,
Veterans’ Memorial Park, Maybrook, New York. The purpose of the public hearing is to
provide an opportunity for public input on the DGEIS and Introductory Local Law No. 6 of
2016.
The DGEIS and Introductory Local Law No. 6 of 2016 are available at the Village Community
Center (101 Main Street, Maybrook, New York) and Village Hall (111 Schipps Lane, Maybrook,
New York) during normal business hours.
The purpose of Introductory Local Law No. 6 of 2016 is to amend Chapter 210 of the Code of
the Village of Maybrook, entitled “Zoning” to establish a Traditional Downtown Design (TDD)
district, with associated updates to the Zoning Map, modifying the uses permitted in the business
district.
Comments may be made in person at the public hearing. Written comments will be received at
any time during the comment period in the Village Clerk’s office. The comment period will
extend for a minimum of 10 days following the close of the public hearing.
Upon review by the Village of Maybrook Board of Trustees, as Lead Agency, in accordance
with the provisions of Title 6 of the New York State Code of Rules and Regulations, Part 617,
the Board of Trustees has determined that the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement is
adequate for public review.
