On April 19th the Town of Montgomery Senior Independence Project hosted their annual “Volunteer Recognition Dinner” at the Village of Maybrook Senior Center. The annual “Recognition Dinner” is held in memory of deceased Maybrook resident and Charter Member Ruth Gardner.
The Town of Montgomery Seniors Independence Project (TOMSIP) is committed to supporting seniors by:
- Helping them remain in their homes rather than moving to institutional settings.
- Developing a program to coordinate volunteers and reliable vendors who will provide necessary services to achieve that goal.
- Keeping them in the community both for their benefit and to also enrich the community as a whole with their compaionship, experience and wisdom.
TOMSIP Volunteers offer Transportation Services, Grocery Shopping, Friendly Visits and Calls, Light Housekeeping/Chores, Clerical Visits and Library Services.
